Two uses:

BRONCHOPULMONARY USE
Injectable solution with Clenbuterol as the basic component with bronchodilating action and cooperating in expectoration intended for horses


UTERINE USE
Injectable solution with Clenbuterol as the basic component with spasmolytic uterine action. It delays parturition (tocolytic) in mares, cows, sows and ewes

Composition:

Each 100 ml contains:

Clenbuterol hydrochloride 3.2 mg
Excipients and sterile vehicle qs ad 100 ml

Clinical Pharmacology:

BRONCHOPULMONARY USE
Clenbuterol is a powerful sympathomimetic with high affinity binding to ß2 receptors of the bronchial area. For this reason its most important effects are bronchial dilation, eliminating bronchospasm, stimulation of vibration in the bronchial cilia thus facilitating expectoration and the increase of pulmonary ventilation with prolonged effect

UTERINE USE
Clenbuterol is a powerful sympathomimetic with high affinity binding to ß2 receptors of the uterine muscles. For this reason its alternative use is as uterine relaxant, inhibiting parturition contraction and increasing dilation of uterine neck

Indications and Usage:

PULMONARY USE
Bronchospasm - Bronchitis - Bronchiolitis - Chronic obstruent pulmonary desease - Chronic and acute ailments
Optimum result when administered jointly with antibiotics in bronchopulmonary infections. It prevents allergic respiratory reactions

UTERINE USE
It delays parturition - Relaxant for tocological maneuvers and uterine surgery

Dosage and Administration:

PULMONARY USE
IM or EV injectable administration:
5 ml (0.16 mg of Clembuterol) each 200 Kg twice a day for no less than 2 days
Inhalatory administration:
2 ml (0.064 mg of Clembuterol) diluted in the least possible quantity of distilled water or physiological solution, once or twice a day

UTERINE USE
Mares, cows and sows: 10 ml per animal intramuscular or slow endovenous administration
Ewes: 7 ml per animal intramuscular or slow endovenous administration

Counterindications and Warnings:

Not to be used in combination with corticosteroid. Not to be used in pregnanat animals in combination with vasodilative drugs. If epidural anesthesia is used a vasoconstrictive drug must be administered simultaneously. If it were used jointly with atropine, proceed with caution as both substances increase heart beat. Its effect is cancelled by oxytocin and prostaglandin
Discontinue treatment in pregnant mares about 5 days before parturition. Not to be used in mares during lactation

Restrictions in Usage:

No human consumption of animals under treatment with the product. Not to be used for human consumption milk from animals under treatment with the product until 15 days after last administration
